million dollar shih tzu

are you aware of my love for shih tzus? just checking. i've decided to start collecting shih tzu memorabilia.
lame...i know. this is item number one. my very own million dollar bill.

a rare breed

picked up a new notebook the other day. did a lil collage...an ode to my shih tzu charles.

murakami love

currently reading this.
really loving his mythical stories.

a customer and i were chatting last week. he spends lots of time on his laptop...writing a novel, which i think is so exciting. when he described to me his story i instantly thought of Murakami. the writing style seemed awfully similar. i suggested/recommended this author to him. i hadn't been the first person to do so. in fact someone actually gave him the very book i am reading right now. i gave him my copy of Dance Dance Dance. he probably wont read the book i gave him, but i am absolutely delighted to have another Murakami book to read.

would you like a cup of tea?

i enjoy my almost daily cup of tea. i was raised in a british home and love the idea of tea time and especially enjoy sharing that pastime with my family. besides them, i dont know anyone that even knows how to make, let alone drink a proper cup of tea.

so here are some directions on making a good cup of tea...and you don't have to do it the hard, fancy way with teapots, loose leaf tea, strainers, tea cozies, etc... although my mom used to make it that way and it was wonderful.

1. buy a good english breakfast tea (no earl grey), tea bags
2. boil your water
3. add water to tea bag (please do not put water in cup and then add teabag)
4. let steep for a few minutes (i prefer 3)
5. remove teabag
6. add a little milk and sugar ( please do not use cream, lowfat milk is perfect and use white sugar, not raw or brown
7. enjoy

modern day robin hood

cant feel my arms or legs

not a good way to start your morning. donuts & iced coffee seemed like such a good idea.
in other news, charles got a haircut and i had the worlds worst anxiety attack.

the bone yard

last night meg and i went out to dinner, since she will be moving back to Olympia tomorrow for a short time, before she moves to Ireland (megs native homeland). we ate some semi-yummy indian food and grabbed a couple bottles of wine and headed over to tomikas.
we played dominoes. i had no idea what i was getting myself into. meg in a cutthroat domino player.
not only did i learn to play dominoes, i also got a crash course in how to use my digital camera better. thanks meeks for the wonderful guide you jotted down for me. much obliged.

"how good was he?"

i watched this last night. apparently, i'm the only person in the world that didn't know anything about mike tyson. so, i knew about the whole ear incident, who didn't? and i'll admit i didn't seen the end...which i will, but i fell asleep. what's new? it's rare that i can stay awake for a entire movie. this movie is a pretty sad story.

hungry hamburger eyes

since charles has been banished to his crate when i'm not home, i picked out a new toy for him. charles has never been big on toys, but his love for his new toy has proven him wrong. i see more doggie purchases in the future.

you can see the real hamburger eyes website here, which is dope.
