I'm so happy to finally be able to see the finished product for this video. It's probably my favorite song by the Monday Mornings.
Enjoy.

Just listen.
You might hear something you like.
Or not.
My list of albums to get is steady getting longer and longer.

roll-a-way
Ok. So I was a little skeptical at first. Rollerskating? I couldn't even imagine the last time I'd done it. But I'm glad I did.
It was so much fun. I was pretty rusty, but Jim was horrible. I had to hold his hand the entire time, except for when he fell, in which case I quickly released my hand so that he couldn't take me down with him. People are really serious there. I'm sure they did not appreciate our fun and laughter, or the fact that we were drunk. I think it's safe to say we drank too much. But really, would it have been as fun if we didn't?
Anywho, good idea Shay.
Although I'm not feeling so great today.

Finally, Jim came home. I couldn't wait to get off work yesterday to meet up with him and finally hang out. I got to meet and spend some time with the band he'd been with for the past week. They were so nice and friendly. Sounds like they really loved Jim and I think they're trying to steal him from me for a much longer amount of time coming up this summer. Oh brother.
Anyway, I got to see the band play last night. Good show. And then we all hit the streets for some fun.

solo market stroll
Jim had to go into work for a little bit today, so I decided to walk around pike place while I waited. It's been quite awhile since I've walked around the market, and my first time doing it all by myself. I checked out Left Bank Books. I'm not entirely sure why I've never been in before. It's a very small little bookstore and if you've never been you should check it out. Not your typical bookstore.
Anyway, I picked up a couple books. Of course I got another Murakami. I'm trying to read every one of his books. I also picked up another book that I've been wanting to read for quite some time. I have heard numerous people say it's a must read. Now for the hard part...which one do I read first?

addicted to
EARTH TONES
It's true. I really am. I can't remember the last time I've purchased anything that isn't. Jim makes fun of me about it all the time. I'm starting to see why. I've even tried to turn him over to the earth tone side, but I'm failing miserably. I also tried to get him to wear a tank top (worst idea ever), so maybe I need to keep my addictions to myself.
special delivery
I'm very happy about what finally showed up in my mailbox today. I've been waiting a few weeks for it, since creating an account on America's Test Kitchen website. If you like to cook and don't want to fork over the money for the cookbooks, getting the online recipes is a nice treat.

Me. Jackie. Kimmy.
Tonight we booked our tickets to New York.
I'm beyond excited. It will be my first time.
Two days of travel.
Six days of exploring, eating, and drinking.
I want to see everything.
I want to be a tourist.
I don't fucking care.
September can't come soon enough.

devil take you
Sometimes week nights are the best nights.
Kimmy and I met up with Grace and Tomika at the Whiskey Bar for drinks before heading to the Crocodile. Our friends in Crypts(Nick and Bryce)were opening for Zola Jesus. How convenient!
I've been wanting to see ZJ for quite some time now. I knew it was going to be good and it was even BETTER than that. She played tons of songs and is awesome on stage. I loved her all white outfit and bleach blond mane. I'm so jealous. I would love to see her again. If you weren't there, you missed out.
