yesterday was great. we celebrated fathers day by making brunch for my dad. i made homemade strawberry shortcake. we bought my dad a remote control airplane cos word on the street was that he was pretty interested in flying one. my sister went to the hobby shop and picked out the perfect starter set for him. gee whiz, that stuff is expensive. after my dad extensively read the manual, watched the dvd and put the plane together we set off to an open area to take a stab at this flying thing. i was awfully nervous that he would crash it after the first lift off the ground, but he did pretty well and the plane only suffered minor "scrapes and bruises".
then jim and i headed over to his dads house for dinner. i love going over to the petosa house. they're such a big fun family. i stuffed my face (as i always do over there). in fact, i forced jim to keep eating so that i could keep eating. i've found a new love for ribs.
it was a happy fathers day.
