the good ol days...

when charles was just a young pup and we didn't have a care in the world. that was almost five years ago. time flies, and brings with it a lot of changes. charles and i are living in a new location, with a new routine, which is proving to work out well.

i think my poor chubby dog is actually losing a few lb's. our new roommate takes him on walks, and a special sunday "morning constitutional". my commute since the move has been dramatically shortened which has drastically lowered my anxiety and road rage. my work schedule is still painful, but i'm starting to finally make do with it, and am re-learning times like long ago when i managed a schedule and a social life. i've neglected it for far too long. i've even talked a friend into joining my gym! yay for motivation. i've been reading lots of good books and trying to keep a tidy life. i've even had the chance to visit with some of my old friends that i have been missing and hope that this is the time for us to catch up on things that have been missed in the past few years. those two girls have proven to know me better then anyone else, even after all the years we have been separated.

i am looking forward to 2010, to doing things the right way, to being more conscientious of what's happening around me, to taking up new hobbies/interests/crafts and most importantly getting out of the house, and back into the comforts of adventures and good times with good people.

it doesn't mean a thing to me!

i had really hoped to find a awesome live performance or something, but no luck. just a silly photo. this song melts my little heart, black as it may be.

psychotic girl

i seriously forgot how amazing this album is. i picked it up last week on vinyl to add to my collection and was pleasantly taken back to the time when i first heard it.

pumpkin patch 2009

like last year, JR and I decided to go to the pumpkin patch. i was anxious to find some perfectly round pumpkins to actually carve this year, since last year we ended up throwing our poor plain old pumpkins off the 5th floor balcony of my apartment right onto jackson. JR wanted the experience of the corn maze. i obliged.

what i ended up with 15 minutes into the maze was "i don't want to do this anymore, it's stressing me out". you know us and our anxiety. i surprisingly wasn't too bothered yet and was finally enjoying the perfect occasion to wear my welly boots and muddy them up. needless to say, at least an hour later we couldn't find our way out. big thanks to the father and his seven year old son for letting us follow them around, since they were actually making use of their map.

by the time we got out of the corn maze (JR kept trying to steal cobs of corn the whole time), we left, with no pumpkins to carve.

if we sing together we won't sound as bad

varsity blues drinking game rules courtesy of draggin and megs. followed by a showing of heavy metal parking lot. so entertaining.
record session featuring percy sledge & the band, a couple of draggin furbush's favorites.

the lovely and adorable megs.

last night was a good time. meeting up with ryan and meg was definitely worth leaving the house. we went to the croc to see the dutchess and the duke. i was so impressed. seeing them live was blissful. i'm sold! thanks for showing me such a wonderful time. let's do it again soon. and don't forget "that will be $13, thank you come again".

$1.99 at the dollar store

it's getting crisp and chilly again. summer is typically my favorite time of year but i cannot begin to describe how anxious i am for fall. i've already purchased my welly boots and fall jackets.

i'm disappointed in myself for not taking advantage of the beautiful summer that we just had. i spent only a few days at the beach, only left town once, and did not go on near enough adventures. next year i will do better.

i have been trying to expel my hermit lifestyle and am confident that this new season will be just the time to do it. i want to be motivated, inspired, and look forward to a blissful fall.

poster boys

a couple weeks ago i went on a delightful day trip to mount vernon and marysville for a little thrifting and a delightful breakfast. in addition, a couple good finds and a couple stolen pairs of shoes. i was most entertained by a band poster that was all over town. you gotta start somewhere right?

old meets new

next monday begins a new challenge for me as i go back to my old and most favorite starbucks in richmond beach. i am very excited and thankful for the opportunity to be around such amazing partners and customers and i vow to not take it for granted and put my best foot forward.

i snapped this photo of my box at work and will miss working daily with all the witty and amusing partners at the store that i have called home for the past 6 months.

cheers to old & new ALL AROUND.

dirty south end seattle

JR has been working very hard to make our one bedroom in georgetown a comfy living environment for the two of us and our silly dogs. i've been doing the sitting and the watching and he's been doing the moving and sorting. thank you very much for making this place somewhere i like to come home to.
