lipstick and hospital gowns

today i tried to relax and enjoy myself before the next two days of hell i have coming. tmrw and the following will be filled with pills, water, apple juice, broth, magnesium citrate drinks, and jello. i'm pretty stressed out, but hoping that if i have any good luck on my side, i'll be back to normal again soon.

kimmy and i headed to hudson for breakfast.

federal scramble. i should have left the cheese on it.

so instead i drank some coffee...and even put milk in it.
that's not like me at all.
then we headed downtown for MAKEUP @ the Nordstrom counters.
i was on a mission for new powder and a plain eyeshadow.
i got everything i wanted and one extra product. another lipstick. RED.

a soft matte powder, a sheer very red lipstick perfect for day and night, and a simple shadow. perfection. we spent two hours browsing the makeup counters, talking with artists, testing out products. worth every minute. 

after shopping i ran a few errands and ended up home where i won't be leaving until monday afternoon when i head to the hospital. jim and i had plans to watch the third episode of portlandia and hang out. he came bearing gifts (special cookies-xanax-trashy magazines). as i flipped through the magazine you won't believe what i found...

i was stunned.

this insert looked totally legit. 

awesome surprise.

and then he made my jello. 

pretty nice guy, huh?

today was a good day.
